Staff Spotlight: Aimee Bishop
Coupeville Open Academy shines a little brighter thanks to the one and only Aimee Bishop — secretary, registrar, student advocate, and heart of the program. Aimee isn’t just keeping COA running smoothly — she’s changing lives while she’s at it.
She knows every student — their story, their dreams, their challenges — and she works tirelessly to make sure they’re supported in every possible way. Whether that means finding school supplies, helping with food or clothing, or just being a listening ear on a tough day, Aimee shows up with empathy, compassion, and an unwavering belief that every student deserves a chance to succeed — no matter how many chances it takes.
Her dedication doesn’t stop when the school day ends. Aimee is everywhere — cheering on athletes, making home visits to check in on students, connecting families to resources, and helping staff navigate the many moving pieces of COA. She does all of this with her signature kindness, warmth, and Disney-esque magic — making the impossible look easy and leaving smiles wherever she goes.
Aimee, you are an irreplaceable force of good in our district, and we are beyond grateful for all you do!
