Festive celebrations, flickering lights, and winter greens are hallmarks of the holiday season—but they also present fire risks that can quickly turn this joyful time of year into a devastating one.

As we gather with loved ones and enjoy the magic of the season, please take a few simple steps to keep your home safe and bright:

✨ Water your live Christmas tree daily to keep it from drying out.
✨ Check your lights for frayed cords or broken bulbs before decorating.
✨ Keep candles at least 12 inches away from anything that can burn—or choose flameless options for peace of mind.
✨ Turn off holiday lights when leaving home or going to bed.
✨ Keep space heaters clear of decorations, furniture, and tree skirts.
