Oak Harbor City Councilman and mayoral candidate Shane Hoffmire

Oak Harbor City Councilman Shane Hoffmire announced his candidacy for mayor via his Facebook page and website on Mar. 23, 2023.

It is with the humblest of pleasure that I announce my run for Mayor! In November 2021, you, the citizens of Oak Harbor, voted me into City Council. Since that day I have worked ceaselessly to restore the voice many of you feel you had lost in previous administrations. My focus has been fiercely advocating for the community and prioritizing affordability by basing my every decision on how it directly affects the average citizen in Oak Harbor, putting your best interest at the forefront of my mind, words and actions.

It is my nearly life-long love for Oak Harbor and the desire to continue this progress that has put in mind to run for Mayor. Oak Harbor is at a critical point in its battle with affordability and our administration has the fortunate position of influencing big decisions and continuing to bring positive results to our constituents.

I humbly and graciously ask that you stand beside me and support my run in this upcoming Oak Harbor Mayoral election. We won City Council with our promise to fight for affordability, accountability, and livability in Oak Harbor. Help me win Mayor of Oak Harbor, and with it, let us win an affordable future.
