Hundreds of demonstrators were present in front of South Whidbey High School to voice their support for or opposition to the saturation of Critical Race Theory into the school’s curriculum and the presence of a Black Lives Matter banner on a school property fence.

The issue of South Whidbey School District’s sex education curriculum also arose. Superintendent Josephine Moccia said part of the curriculum, which is available online, involves answering all students’ questions “with accuracy and scientific reality.”

For more details of the demonstration, see Karina Andrew’s story in the South Whidbey Record.
