SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Black Lives Matter sign stolen from in front of school

South Whidbey School Superintendent Jo Moccia

A Black Lives Matter banner hanging on a fence for over a year at South Whidbey High School has been stolen. Superintendent Josephine Moccia said the school plans to replace the banner and that “It is very disappointing that our graduates were disparaged in this way” She also said “(The students) are multiculturally engaged, literate, active community members ready for a global society.” Karina Andrew provides the details in the South Whidbey Record.
