The Langley City Council is in favor of Mayor Scott Chaplin starting a conversation with the South Whidbey School District by sending them a letter concerning the possibility of using some property the School District owns for an off-leash dog park. At Monday’s city council meeting, the Council discussed whether or not to include a proposal for the study for such a park that was submitted by a local resident. In the end, the Council decided against including the proposal, but Council Member Peter Morton pointed out that the local resident was free to send his study to the South Whidbey School Board on his own. See the story by Kira Erickson for all the details.
