Wanda Grone (R-Langley), who’s running for Island County Commissioner, District 1, sent out this announcement to supporters on Fri., Feb. 16, 2024.
I wanted to check in and see if you had seen the invitation for my campaign kick-off event on Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 6pm at the beautiful Comforts of Whidbey Winery in Langley, WA (invite below)? I’d heard from some folks that they hadn’t recieved it yet (or maybe it ended up in spam?). I am passionate about my vision for Island County and how we can do better for our community.
I want to bring more common-sense voices to the Board of Commissioners. I want to ensure Island County is being transparent and responsible with our taxpayer dollars. We need to reduce regulations to allow small businesses to grow and increase reasonably-priced housing supply! Our law enforcemnt officers need to be empowered to keep our community safe. As Island County Commissioner, I want to help the county become more efficient in it’s processes and leverage modern-day technology where we can. Who better to do this than someone with over 12 years of experience within the Island County government and the former Treasurer of our County?
Will you be able to join us at Comforts Winery on February 25? Having your support early on will speak volumes. You can RSVP and contribute online by clicking here [Ed. Note: link omitted] or reply to this email. Individuals and businesses can contribute up to $2,400 each ($4,800 for couples). Every dollar donated will make a big impact on our campaign to strengthen the common-sense voice on the Island County Board of Commissioners.
I am grateful to have your support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Warmly,
Wanda J. Grone
Candidate, Island County Commissioner D1
