ISLAND COUNTY: Comprehensive Plan Surveys and Upcoming Meetings (JANET ST. CLAIR)

Island County Commissioner Janet St. Clair (D-Camano Island) sent the following email to constituents on Tue., Mar. 5, 2023.

Hi,

I wanted to share a message from our Island County Long Range Planning Team and to make sure you know there are ongoing opportunities to participate in the Comprehensive Plan process. Hope you will join us in this important work!

The Island County Long Range team currently has two surveys available on their online engagement website: Land Use & Housing. We invite you to participate in these surveys and give input on what goals & policies need updating in the comprehensive plan update. There is also a comments section on the engagement site that is always open for public comment. 

Planning will be bringing the Land Use and Housing Elements forward to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners in March. See the schedule below:

• March 6th: Board of County Commissioners – Land Use Element Goals & Policies
• March 6th: Planning Commission – Land Use Element Goals & Policies
• March 13th: Board of County Commissioners – Housing Element Goals & Policies
• March 20th: Planning Commission – Housing Element Goals & Policies
