ELECTIONS 2024: Folks, more people need to vote! (DAVE PAUL)
State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Mon., July 29, 2024.
I’m sounding the alarm again because the primary election is just 8 days away–and far too community members have not yet voted. I just looked at the ballot return statistics, and we’ve got to step up our game.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, our race will be very close. MAGA Republicans are very motivated to punish all Democrats. Democrats will be motivated, too—but people don’t vote all the way down their ballots. That hurts campaigns like ours—and I guarantee our election will be incredibly close.
Please do me a big favor: if you have not already voted, then please fill out your ballot tonight--and drop it off at ballot box ASAP.
If you have already voted, then thank you! Can you call a friend tonight and make sure they have voted, please?
A little secret: once you vote, those pesky political mailers should stop. At least on our side, we don’t send mailers to homes that have already returned their ballots. But it takes a few days for your ballot to be processed–so vote sooner than later!
You know I’m committed to protecting reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, fully funding for public education, and tackling climate change. We must win the primary—and win the election in November—in order to continue the fight in Olympia in January.
As always, it’s an honor to serve.
Respectfully,
Dave
