The Island County Republican Party publishes a newsletter, which we are posting here. We believe that the statements made by the leadership of each party is of general public interest.
Chairman’s Brief
Wow! Fresh back from the national convention, I can say that I have never seen a party so united on the national level. Every single speaker was on the same message and speaking to the MAGA movement. Each day of the convention had a theme playing off of the MAGA, “Make America Great Again,” slogan: Monday’s theme was “Make America Wealthy Once Again.”, Tuesday revolved around law enforcement under “Make America Safe Once Again.” and Wednesday focused on national security with “Make America Strong Once Again”. The WSRP was 100% aligned and moving as a group in the same direction. You can see most of the speeches and many cool pics on the ICRP FB page and also on Jennifer’s and my pages TimHazeloForAmerica.
President Trump was truly amazing and heartfelt when speaking, gracious when meeting delegates, and humble when talking about the shooting. It was very interesting to be there, people were crying, joyful, sad, excited, angry, and happy. But the one thing we all took from it was that America is not done yet, and now we have a renewed hope for tomorrow. Jennifer and I were excited to represent Island County and the CD2 electorate. Feel free to reach out to us for a coffee and a conversation. Yes, this was exciting and, yes, it reinvigorated the base but we can’t slow down, now more than ever is our chance to expand the base, to grow the tent, to get more conservatives to vote. I personally as a PCO have texted with my own phone over 400 voters. I am attending a Trump fundraising dinner on the 3rd where we are hoping to start to raise $1,000,000,000 from the state of WA. If you are interested in donating let me know I can bring your check and form with me to the dinner. I will also be attending an Agenda 47 Conference/Dinner on the 8th. We have lots of candidate get-togethers going on in the near future as well. Watch the FB and webpage for details.

Message from the editor
Primary time! This issue is all about providing information to research your votes. If you have already voted and turned in your ballot, thank you! If you need help with some decision making, reach out to your local PCOs or other trusted member of the ICRP. If you can’t make the trip to a drop box for some reason to turn in your ballot, any number of us will be willing to do that on your behalf.
There are multiple opportunities to meet candidates, participate in observation and more. Pick your activities and get involved.
The next Central Committee meeting will be on Aug 10th at the Stanwood office, 8820 Viking Way, Stanwood, WA. That will keep it from conflicting with the Camano fair and we will have results from the Aug 6th primary to look over and carry forward.
Hope to see all current and future PCO’s there. The meeting is open to the public.

Turning Island County Red
This is the time. The ballots are out for the primary. It is vital that the focus be on securing a spot for our Commissioners, Legislators, Senator and several PCOs. As you have just read through the endorsed candidates list and travelled to their websites to see how you can help (right?) here is a little information about the PCO races that are still undecided:
Look to your districts and vote for the person you think will best represent you in the Central Committee.

State Committee Report
All quiet on the state committee front. The next meeting is Aug 16—17 in Wenatchee. Look for a good summary of what was discussed. As the agenda for that meeting is not available yet we are unaware of what will be discussed. That said, if you have issues you want brought up, contact the exec board and we will carry that forward on your behalf.
The WAGOP fall dinner will be on September 13th. I have no further details than the date but at least you can start planning if you wish to attend.
Respectfully submitted
