ELECTIONS 2026 / DAVE PAUL: The stakes are high

Dear Friends,
There’s no getting around it: the news from Washington D.C. keeps getting worse. Congress has allowed the White House to cut healthcare and food benefits for needy Americans. Tax cuts for the ultrawealthy will raise the national debt by $4 billion over the next 10 years.
Americans are rightfully angry and confronting their members of Congress across the country. The response from MAGA Republicans? Gerrymander districts across the nation—it’s the only way Republicans can survive the midterm elections.
MAGA Republicans in Washington state want to go even further and end vote-by-mail, restricting the ability of working Washingtonians and seniors from participating in elections. We can’t allow this to happen.

Please help ensure these harmful policies are not enacted here. With the federal government gutting environmental protections, it’s up to us to stop big polluters from poisoning our state. With MAGA Republicans set on ending protections for women and the LGBTQ community, it’s our duty to ensure that all Washingtonians have access to reproductive healthcare and civil rights.
But I can’t do this work without your help. We know our next election will be challenging, and it’s important that we do the work this summer and fall to prepare for it.
