When it’s really hot, your body has to work extra hard to stay cool, which can be dangerous. Extreme heat is especially risky for older adults and infants. Stay cool and take care of yourself and others during hot weather!
There are cooling shelters across Island County for those who do not have access to air conditioning in an extreme heat event:

The Center in Oak Harbor (Mon.- Fri. 8:30 am-4:00 pm, Sat.-Sun. closed)
Camano Center (Hours: Mon. – Fri. 9 am-4 pm, Sat.-Sun closed)
