Wanda Grone (R-Langley), candidate for Island County Commissioner, District 1, posted this on her Facebook page on .

Thursday June 20 I was at a Habitat for Humanity event to celebrate the completion of a residence and home dedication to Amanda. I recently became a new Board member and am so proud of my association with this organization. I am enthusiastic about their model for home ownership that involves sweat equity on the part of the recipient. I hope to see more Island County affordable housing funding grants channeled in this direction.
