Bipartisanship and Listening to Educators
I continue to work with local educators, non-profit organizations, and fellow legislators on ways to improve career and post-secondary pathways, mental health, and school funding. It was an honor to join Career Cannect Northwest’s first Education Legislative Roundtable earlier this summer in Anacortes.
The event featured a bipartisan forum, including Rep. Joe Timmons (D-42nd LD), Rep. Carolyn Eslick (R-39th LD), and Rep. Alicia Rule (D-42nd LD). It was terrific to discuss priorities for the 2025 session–and hear directly from K12 educators about their ideas and concerns about education in our state. Thanks to Career Connect Northwest and Lynne Varner, CEO of Washington STEM, for facilitating the roundtable.
