On Tuesday, October 8 at 4:30 p.m. Oak Harbor Public Schools will celebrate inclusion and belonging on school playgrounds with the installation of communication boards. The communication boards will be placed at each elementary school and Hand-in-Hand Early Learning Center and will allow students to communicate with each other and with staff similarly as they do with assistive devices provided in the classroom.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hillcrest Elementary will include remarks from Superintendent Dr. Michelle Kuss-Cybula and a demonstration of the use of the boards with our students and staff. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!
