South Whidbey School District – Retreat

On Wednesday, January 23, the South Whidbey School District’s board of directors will meet for a retreat featuring an Ally Engagement presentation and training by Heather Lechner, Executive Director of Education at the Technology Access Foundation (TAF).

From the TAF End of School Year Report Card:

“The Ally Engagement Program provides a unique opportunity for white leaders in education to work collectively toward dismantling the systems of oppression within our education system. Through a hybrid of self-examination and strategy, our partners can create schools, colleges, and universities that are more inclusive and supportive of BIPOC leaders, educators, and students.”
