On Tuesday, some of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) students made the most of an opportunity to explore a variety of career options at a hands-on event in Mount Vernon.
The Washington Apprenticeship Vocational Education (WAVE) Tour at Skagit Fairgrounds hosted by Career Connect Washington and Educational Service District 189.
Students were able to experience different trade station activities — carpentry, heavy equipment simulators, jackhammering, plumbing, maritime maintenance, and more.
This is just one of the many offerings from Stanwood High School’s robust Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that prepare students for high-wage, high-demand, and high-skill careers in the local area!
