Decisions have not been made and the City will make an informed decision to continue supporting our partners when it is brought up again on December 17. Hope to see you all at the council meeting when it will be discussed again, and if you aren’t able to attend in person, you may watch it virtually on YouTube or Facebook.

The city of Oak Harbor is looking into recovering some costs for street closures. Things like parades, street fairs, etc…. Things like overtime staffing, police, cleanup all add up etc…
The actual costs are in the screenshots. Obviously this would affect a lot of organizations from larger organizations like the chamber of commerce and Main street to small clubs like the Irish Wildlife society or Rotary.
To those who belong in the organizations that might be affected, what do you believe would be a fair cost or way of charging?
