Our students now have even more guaranteed pathways to college!

The Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) continues to offer juniors and seniors automatic admission to six public universities in Washington if they meet both of the following:

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Complete (or be on track to complete by fall 2024) all College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs)

Now, Western Washington University is introducing a new opportunity — the Western Guaranteed Admission Program (WEGAP) — that broadens access even further.

Under WEGAP, eligible seniors with a 2.75 GPA or higher who complete Washington’s high school graduation requirements will receive automatic admission to WWU, without needing to submit an application or pay an application fee. Western will begin sending admission notifications directly to eligible students in December.

Both programs align with our Strategic Plan, which emphasizes preparing every student to graduate with the skills, experiences, and readiness to pursue the future of their choosing.

To learn more about WAGAP, including eligibility details and links to university resources, visit the WAGAP tab on our Teaching & Learning webpage.

And don’t forget to familiarize yourself with SchooLinks, our a new college and career readiness platform that will help our students in grade 7 and above prepare for life after graduation.
