Oak Harbor School District – Board Meeting

The regularly-scheduled meeting of the Oak Harbor School District’s board of directors for the last Monday of April 2022. The agenda for the meeting can be found at this link.

The meeting will open with a study session from 5:00 – 6:00 PM. The study session with review the process and timeline for appointing a new director for position 4, which was vacated by John Diamond in April 2022.

Following the study session, the board will conduct its regular business meeting. Topics of interest include:

• An interlocal agreement with the City of Oak Harbor to provide transportation for the Whidbey Island Marathon.
• A legislative update and discussion of the legislative priorities of the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA), including the conversion of district vehicle fleets to electric vehicles and funding to convert petroleum-powered building heating and cooking to electric versions so as to reduce schools’ climate impact.
• A resolution relating to the financing of school buses.
• The March 2022 financial reports.
