CAMANO: If we don’t get more applications, three schools will lose free meals

Stanwood-Camano School District

If we don’t get more applications by Friday, three of our elementary schools will lose free meals for all students next year. Please apply today and share this post far and wide.

Currently, Utsalady, Elger Bay, and Twin City Elementary offer free meals for this school year. Those schools — along with Cedarhome Elementary — can qualify for free meals for all students next school year, but they all need more approved applications by Friday.

If your family qualified last year, or if your income or work hours have recently changed, please complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application by Friday, October 31.

The state uses this data as of Friday to determine eligibility for next school year, and right now, none of these four schools are at the state threshold to qualify for free meals.

Even temporary changes in income — such as missed paychecks or furloughs from the federal government shutdown — can qualify your family for the rest of this school year.

⏰ This is it — we can’t extend the deadline. Without more approved applications, these schools will lose the ability to provide free meals to all students next year.

✅ Apply now — it takes less than 10 minutes: https://www.stanwood.wednet.edu/…/free-and-reduced…
