Last week, selected band and choir students from Port Susan Middle School and Stanwood Middle School had the incredible honor of performing in the Mount Pilchuck Music Educator’s Association’s Honor Band and Choir event!
After weeks of hard work and dedication, these talented students showcased their musical abilities alongside other top performers from the region. It was a fantastic opportunity and a testament to their passion for music.

Huge congratulations to these outstanding young musicians!
But wait, cue up some more music …
The Stanwood High School Chamber Music Concert is today (Monday, Jan. 27) in the SHS Performing Arts Center. Spartan Band students will perform as small ensembles and soloists, featuring woodwind, brass, and percussion performances.
Many of these talented musicians are preparing for the 2025 Mount Pilchuck Music Educators’ Association’s Solo and Ensemble Festival in February. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to support our high school musicians!
