WhidbeyHealth is proud to host a free education session on Preventing Diabetes, on Saturday, February 8 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM.
This 2-hour class focuses on information that will introduce you to ways to reduce your risk of developing diabetes. We will talk about:
– Healthy eating
– Reading labels
– Carb counting
– Ways to be active
– Setting goals
-Making changes
This class is for people with fasting blood glucose between 100-125 or A1C between 5.7-6.4. A third of people with blood sugar in this range will develop diabetes within 3 years.
