State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Mon., Jun. 13, 2022.

Friends,

One of the best parts of serving as your state representative is having the opportunity to listen to you and advocate for you in Olympia. Over the last four years, I’ve met with many of you to learn what projects would have the most meaningful impact for our region.

Here’s a quick update on two of those projects.

Camp Korey welcomes Rep. Dave Paul

Located near Lake McMurray in Skagit County, Camp Korey is doing amazing work to provide meaningful recreational opportunities for children with significant health challenges. I’m proud to have championed the $545,000 allocated in 2019 to expand Camp Korey’s facilities and the $330,000 funded in 2022 to improve the camp’s broadband and tele-health infrastructure. These investments will help children and families from our community and across our state. It was an honor to attend Camp Korey’s ribbon cutting in May and meet with families, volunteers, and camp staff.

State Rep. Dave Paul at Langley Habitat for Humanity project

Improving housing affordability is an important priority for our community and our state. I’m proud to have secured over $800,000 for more affordable housing for our community in the 2022 Supplemental Capital Budget–and I’m very appreciative of the Democratic Caucus for prioritizing this good work. It was great to recently attend the groundbreaking for the new Habitat for Humanity of Island County’s townhome project, which will help seven families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to meet with me over the past four years; your advocacy is critical to the legislative process and securing these investments for our community.

Sincerely,

Dave
