Maria Carlstrom is the newest member of the Board of Fire Commissioners for Camano Fire. She took her oath of office Monday evening at the regular Commissioner meeting.
The Board nominated her as a candidate last month. She replaces former Commissioner Jan Treml, who stepped down from the board Feb. 11.
Carlstrom will serve as interim commissioner through the end of 2025. To complete the remainder of Treml’s term, which ends in 2027, she will need to run for re-election in the November 2025 general election
