As 2025 comes to a close, here’s a look back at just a few of the MANY moments that made this year special across the district. (See the photos!)
🎉 January
Stanwood High School hosted the Country Living Expo & Modern Homesteading Conference, with students helping lead hands-on classes — from beekeeping to mechanics — for nearly 1,000 community members. (Circle your calendar: The event returns to SHS on Jan. 31!)
🌍 February
Our elementary students visited the Stillaguamish Tribal Community Center to learn about the culture, language, history, and environmental stewardship of the stuləgʷábš (People of the River).
🎭 March
Stanwood High School students brought The Addams Family to the stage, sharing a lively, heartwarming spring musical with the community. (Details about this spring’s musical are coming soon!)
🎶 April
Students from elementary, middle, and high schools performed together in the first-ever All-District Music Concert in front of a packed house at Stanwood High School.
😀 May
At the SCAF Scholarship Night, 128 graduating seniors received 287 scholarships — a powerful reflection of community support for students’ futures.
🎓 June
Graduations and end-of-year promotions marked major milestones, celebrating years of growth and perseverance.
🏈 September
Homecoming brought the community together with a downtown parade, pregame car show, football game, and postgame fireworks — filling the streets with community pride.
❤️ October
Stanwood High School hosted free heart screenings in honor of Dillon Gilman, serving about 700 youth and setting a new participation record with support from community volunteers.
🇺🇸 November
Students gave back through food drives, service projects, and Veterans Day assemblies focused on gratitude and community.
🎄 December
Holiday concerts and classroom celebrations closed the year with music, connection, and flexibility as schools navigated winter weather together.
