THE OLD GOATS: Luncheon with Island County Commissioner Candidates on Aug. 19.

The Old Goats, a community organization in South Whidbey, sent the following email on Fri., Aug. 12, 2022.

1. You are invited to attend The Old Goats- Fully Informed Voters on Friday, August 19th, noon – 2pm @ The Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club, 3334 Brooks Hill Rd., Langley.
2. Our Guest Speakers will be the two finalists campaigning to be elected to Island County Commissioner Position #3 (North Whidbey north of Oak Harbor and Camano Island, incumbent Janet St. Claire (D) and challenger Tim Hazelo (R).
3. The winner will join Jill Johnson (R), District #2 and Melanie Bacon (D), District #1 steering Island County through 2023 – 2024.
4. Join us to hear the candidates explain their philosophies and goals concerning local government that will govern us, and to hear their answers to our questions. Issues include Homeless Housing subsidies; Substance Abuse solutions; Round-About locations; Climate Change involvement; Inflation, plus your own favorites.
