COUPEVILLE: School districts rely on local funding

The Coupeville School District posted this to its Facebook page on Jan. 16, 2026.
School districts around the state rely on local funding to bridge the gap between what the state and federal government funds and what it costs to meet the needs of our students. In Coupeville, local funding makes up about 16% of the district’s budget. Coupeville has two levies that provide funding to our schools and must be renewed by voters every four years.
