Episode 2 of our three-part Safety & Infrastructure Levy video series takes a closer look at Port Susan Middle School.
Superintendent Ryan Ovenell is joined by Port Susan Middle School Principal Cherae Almanza to discuss what this levy will fund at secondary schools — from building security and fire safety.
The conversation highlights several Port Susan-specific projects, including a new track impacted by root intrusion, replacement bleachers — the oldest in the district — and expanded outdoor freezer and cooler capacity at a site that plays a key role in district food service operations. They also touch on the importance of planned maintenance and how addressing needs early can help avoid costly emergency repairs.
Families and community members are encouraged to watch and explore the proposed projects for their school.
