Stanwood High School students Jordan Rancourt and Jovee Holmes are leading an inspiring community service effort that created 500 custom coloring books for patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
What makes this project especially meaningful is how many students came together to make it happen. Jordan and Jovee invited fellow students and art classes to help create the custom drawings featured throughout the coloring books, turning it into a true school-wide effort.
Last Friday after school, students also gathered to hand-write notes of encouragement inside each book — adding a personal, heartfelt touch meant to bring comfort and positivity to children during their hospital stay.
Jordan and Jovee completed this work as part of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and are delivering the coloring books on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
This project reflects the best of student leadership, creativity, and service. We’re proud of our students for using their talents to make a difference beyond the classroom.
