School Board hears reports from Church Creek Campus, Teach & Learning

The Stanwood-Camano School Board heard several reports during its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026.

The board received a report from Church Creek Campus principal Crysty Aukland on the building’s School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan.

Dr. Colin Ryan provided an updated from the Teaching and Learning Department on instructional data and work from this year. 

Executive Director of Business Services Ruth Floyd then presented the December Financial Report.

The board also received seven donations:

  • $2,500 grant from the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation to support the Preschool Program and Kindergarten Readiness.  

  • $657 rebate from Firefly Images in support of Cedarhome Elementary School.  

  • $504 rebate from Firefly Images in support of Elger Bay Elementary School.  

  • $754 rebate from Firefly Images in support of Twin City Elementary School.

  • $646 rebate from Firefly Images in support of Utsalady Elementary School.

  • $405.60 from the Cedarhome Elementary School PTO to cover the transportation costs of the Cedarhome Elementary School field trip to Riverside Lanes.

  • $224.88 in proceeds from the Reindeer Games Penny Wars from the Stanwood Middle School PTO.  

Two citizens spoke during the public comment period.

The board then adjourned into an Executive Session to review the performance of a district employee.

The board’s next regular business meeting is at 6 p.m. on Feb. 17. All meetings take place in the boardroom at the Stanwood-Camano School District Administration & Resource Center, 26920 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood. You can sign up for public comment for regular board meetings HERE.
