RON MUZZALL: Muzzall garners valuable committee assignments

Senator Ron Muzzall (R-Oak Harbor) announced his committee assignments for the 2021-22 term via his official website. The Senator will continue to serve on the Ways and Means committee, has been promoted to the ranking member on the Health and Long-Term Care committee, and has been added to the Rules committee.

COMMENTARY: Muzzall’s placement on both Ways and Means and Rules may position him to be one of the most powerful Republicans in the Capitol. Ways and Means considers all budgetary measures, including tax legislation. Rules is the gatekeeper for determining which bills make it to the Senate floor. The Senator must have made quite an impression on his colleagues in his first session last winter.
