Save the Date:  Community Forum with Interim CEO of WhidbeyHealth September 22

Want to learn more about the future of our island hospital?  Interim CEO of WhidbeyHealth, Mike Layfield will provide an update on what’s happening at the hospital, followed by Q & A on September 22 via Zoom.  Mr. Layfield is part of the HealthTech team engaged by the WhidbeyHealth Board of Commissioners earlier this year to turn the hospital around.  Mr. Layfield will discuss:

  • The hospital’s financial and management issues leading to the hiring of HealthTech.
  • The progress-to-date in improving the hospital’s financial and management situation.
  • The future plans for WhidbeyHealth, including improvements to the service lines which are needed in the community.
  • The status of the Board of Commissioners’ current search for a new CEO.

This online event is a non-partisan, non-political public service sponsored by the Whidbey Island Democratic Club.  All community members are welcome to join in.  More information and a link to the forum will be available the week before the event.  For more information now, email WIDC at whidbeyislanddemclub@gmail.com or go to our website: https://www.whidbeyislanddemocrats.org
