State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Thu., Nov. 10, 2022.
Dear Friends,
While we are still waiting for all of the votes to be counted, we are currently winning the General Election with 53% of the vote.
I’d like to thank Beth and Marie for their hard work organizing our campaign—and the dozens of volunteers, hundreds of donors, and thousands of voters who supported our campaign. I’d also like to thank the thousands of community members who have taken the time to speak with me on their porches, at community events, and at forums over the last year.
We made a commitment to running a positive campaign that focused on issues and our record of serving the community. As I look forward, I want to reiterate my commitment to listening to all constituents and promoting a civil dialogue.
Instead of focusing on what divides us, let’s strive to foster civic engagement that provides opportunities to build consensus and find solutions.
We have much work to do. I look forward to partnering with you to do it.
