WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Schools chief leaving Oak Harbor for new job

Superintendent of Oak Harbor Public Schools Lance Gibbon is taking a new job on July 1 with the Snoqualmie Valley School District. Emily Gilbert has the story in the Whidbey News-Times. Oak Harbor School Board president John Diamond congratulated Mr. Gibbon and noted his successes in an email to the Oak Harbor Public Schools staff. Mr. Diamond, whose position on the School Board is up for election this fall, stated the school board would immediately begin the process of looking for Mr. Gibbon’s replacement.
