All schools are open today

The Stanwood-Camano School District posted this on its website on 2025-12-10 16:00:00.

All Stanwood-Camano schools are open today, Thursday, Dec. 11, and operating on a normal schedule.
At this time, there’s no indication of flooding in downtown Stanwood. We are continuing to work closely with the City of Stanwood, Snohomish County, Island County, and local emergency management partners to constantly assess weather conditions.
Flood levels along the Stillaguamish River south of Stanwood are lower than initially forecast yesterday, however they are still impacting a few school bus routes this morning — and may do so again this afternoon.
With Marine Drive closed as a precaution, bus routes 21, 23, 24, 25, and 42 — which primarily serve the Stillaguamish Valley, Warm Beach, and Lake Goodwin areas — will run on their regular schedules but will possibly arrive at schools later than usual. Students receiving specialized transportation should expect delays.
Families should have students at their regular bus stop times. Please be patient, as drivers may need to navigate changing road conditions in affected areas. Expect delays during afternoon drop-off.
District staff are closely monitoring conditions and will communicate directly with impacted families if additional route adjustments are needed.
Please stay safe while traveling, and never drive through standing water or around barricades.
