April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month.
Distracted driving, including cellphone use, places motorists, passengers, and pedestrians at risk. This month there will be extra patrols by local law enforcement in our Region. The enforcement patrols will be focused on distracted drivers.
Oak Harbor is one of the many participating agencies in the Northwest Region Target Zero’s vision to reduce traffic fatalities to ZERO in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan Counties.
