As part of our Annual Report to the community, we recently shared a community mailer that outlined progress in our Strategic Plan goal areas this year! Our new Strategic Plan was adopted by the school board at the end of last school year after thousands of members of our community provided input into our goal areas.
One area we are proud to report progress on is Goal 2 – Ready, Set, Grow! Within the first year of implementing Transition to Kindergarten (TTK) and play-based learning, our youngest learners are making great progress in their learning and development in our schools. The continued dedication of our elementary educators and administrators is leading to significant growth for our students.
📈 In just one year, 8% more students are now ready for kindergarten in all six areas of development and learning, per the WAKids Annual Assessment.
