Dear Water Customer,
This notice is to advise you that in a few weeks, crews will be replacing the Emergency Generator that provides power to the HWY 525 well site. The current generator failed during the last power outage and cannot be repaired without removing it. We estimate that the new generator will be installed and operational by the end of December. The District would appreciate your patience while the work is under way
***We recommend that residents prepare for potential water outages in the Colony by acquiring bottled water and filling your containers to flush toilets. IF tonight’s foreseen storm causes prolonged power outages – there be limited to no water available after the holding tank drains. Please be prepared. This does not affect Shore Ave (gravity fed).***
We hope everyone stays safe and warm!
From Bayview Beach Water District.
This will affect the fire hydrants in the Useless Bay Colony. In the event of a fire during a power outage, SWFE will respond with our water tenders to provide an adequate water supply for firefighting. We have a fleet of 5 water tenders that carry 2500 to 3000 gallons each.
