Hello community members!
We are 32 days from a critically important day for our school district. We are 32 days away from the opportunity to ensure that our school programs, positions, and essential staff are maintained through the renewal of our levy. We have a history of supporting levy-funded programs and positions like:
- Security personnel
- Nurses
- Adequate teaching staff
- Support staff like paraeducators
- Athletics, activities, and cheerleading
- Transportation to and from athletics, activities, and events
- Lower class sizes
Our community has approved this education levy consistently since 1964, with a 60-year track record of supporting our schools, students, and community through this levy. I would call that a tradition of support!
This current education levy (not a technology or capital projects levy) is up for renewal on February 13.
If our levy were not replaced, our district would likely endure cuts not seen over the past several decades. Please join us in learning more about the importance of this renewal by visiting our levy information website — or talking with your school principal, myself, or other staff.
We appreciate YOU and our community for the longstanding support of our kids and educational staff!
