CAMANO: Election approaching, ballots appearing in mailboxes soon (SCN)
Isabella Loy reports on the November election for the Stanwood Camano News.
Nov. 7 general election ballots are expected to arrive in Stanwood and Camano Island residents’ mailboxes within the next few days.
The deadline to register or update voter information in person is Nov. 7 — which is also the last day to vote in both counties.
Ballots can be returned via mail or to an official ballot drop box.
On Camano Island, the drop box is located outside the Camano Annex at 121 N East Camano Drive.
The upcoming election will see a variety of local races and measures, including:
- Stanwood-Camano School Board positions 3, 4 and 5
- Camano Island Fire & Rescue levy lid lift
The counting of ballots will be underway shortly after the Nov. 7 deadline, but no results will be certified in either county until Nov. 28, when the canvassing boards meet to certify the results.
