CAMANO: School Board gets update on climatization efforts at Utsalady Elementary

The Stanwood-Camano School Board heard a mid-year report from Twin City Elementary and an update on climatization efforts at Utsalady Elementary during the regular board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.
The board also approved donations:
- $500 from the Camano Arts Association in support of the Stanwood High School Arts Department
- $474.24 in school rebates from Firefly Images for Elger Bay Elementary School
- A donation of new instruments and equipment in support of the Stanwood High School Drumline from the Stanwood High School Band Boosters, valued at $19,805.55
- $717.40 from the Utsalady Elementary School Booster Club to help cover field trip transportation costs to the YMCA
- $397.80 from the Cedarhome Elementary School PTO to cover field trip transportation costs to Riverside Lanes
- $113.06 rebate from Ohiopyle Prints to Stanwood High School from proceeds of Spartan gear sales
Twin City Principal Jennifer Allen offered a look at the progress so far this year in her Twin City Elementary School School Data Update.
The District Maintenance Manager Kevin Cruse provided a look into efforts on the Utsalady Elementary School Climatization Project.
Three citizens spoke during the public comment period.
