CAMANO: Superintendent resigns

Stanwood-Camano School District Superintendent Deborah Rumbaugh announced her resignation at a school board meeting Tuesday.
Her last day with the district will be June 30, 2025.
Rumbaugh said she met with Board President Al Schreiber and Vice President Charlotte Murry to submit her resignation.
The board voted to accept her resignation at the meeting. Schreiber, Director Betsy Foster and Director Steve King voted in favor while Director Miranda Evans and Murry abstained.
They Said It
“I am very disappointed today,” Evans said. “We are losing a great leader for our district. We worked very hard to find her, and it makes me very sad.”
“We worked really hard to have a really good superintendent, and so it’s a very sad day for our district,” Murry said.
