WHIDBEY NEWS TIMES: When Oak Harbor staff brought options to revise the fence height code to the city council in a workshop this week, most council members preferred to delay a decision because of an overlapping controversy with the mayor’s fence.
WHIDBEY NEWS TIMES: Oak Harbor has set funds aside to reinvigorate a 600-acre downtown area by bringing retail closer to the waterfront, creating design standards and more. City renderings show a softened shoreline along Bayshore Drive and five-story buildings with storefronts.
WHIDBEY NEWS TIMES: When the Oak Harbor City Council approved the installation of the Angel of Creativity sculpture at Flintstone Park, planners began drafts to reconfigure the park to better suit the artwork.
