WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: At least one Island County commissioner is already looking ahead to what changes the board can make that would impact future Independence Day celebrations.

ISLAND COUNTY: Registered voters in the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District who would be interested in writing a “con” statement for the November General Election Voters’ Guide regarding the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District Levy is asked to contact the Island County Auditor/Elections Office.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Approximately 500 voters in precinct 156 in Central Whidbey recently received the incorrect ballots for the upcoming Aug. 5 primary election. Shortly after the mistake was discovered, replacement ballots with the correct information were mailed out.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Theodore Smith has decided to drop out of the race for a seat on the public hospital district board.
SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: South Whidbey Parks and Rec will discuss a levy and an aquatic rec center construction contract.
