SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Things just got a little sunnier for the city of Langley’s budget, which has been under scrutiny since the city’s dire financial situation came to light.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: The “Angel de la Creatividad” crossed the Deception Pass Bridge on a sunny Monday afternoon, and will now remain in the Public Works facility until its installation on Oct. 9.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: The race for Legislative District 10, position 2, is in the final stretch. In the primary, incumbent Rep. Dave Paul, an Oak Harbor Democrat, came out on top of his Republican challenger, Gary Wray of Coupeville.
WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: The only public swimming pool on Whidbey Island will remain open if the North Whidbey Pool, Parks and Recreation District levy passes in the November election. If it doesn’t pass, the John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool will close by the end of the year.
