Parks and Rec Grants:

Authorization was given for Parks and Rec department to proceed with four grant applications. Two were for new pickleball courts, one for Baseball field improvements, and one for an inclusive playground. The city will know in October if the grants will be awarded.

Ault Field Water Pump

Council awarded a contract of $407,306.55 to rebuild the electrical system at the Ault Field Pump Station. The system was built in 1970. Due to its age the longer the wait, the more likely the pump will go out. This is the main water pump for Oak Harbor. If the pump goes out Oak Harbor residents could find themselves without water.

Police Grants/Opioid Settlement –

Chief Slowik gave an update on a grant, as well as the Opioid Settlement that will be disbursed to local agencies.
