The City of Langely has agreed to sell an oddly shaped piece of property in a complicated three-way deal between the City, the Boatyard Inn, and the Port of South Whidbey. The City will sell the property to the Boatyard Inn, who will then transfer the property to the Port, who will then enter into an easement agreement with the Boatyard Inn. After the Port makes some previously agreed upon improvements to the property, as a condition of the sale, it will deed the property back to the City. The twists and turns of this tale are told by Kira Erickson in the South Whidbey Record.
