SOUTH WHIDBEY RECORD: Teacher proposes storm drain art

An Elementary school teacher proposed to the Langley City Council a student-led project to collaborate with local artists to create “really pleasing” murals surrounding six storm drains in Langley. Councilmember Peter Morten commented that “its pretty imaginative, actually,” while Councilmember Dominique Emerson said she saw the project as a way to connect “upper Langley,” to “lower Langley.” For the details, see the story by Kira Erickson.
