City Council Teleconferencing Access
This is an update on how we are moving forward to be able to still hold our legally requires City Council meetings while abiding by the Governor’s quarantine orders while being in compliance with the Open Public Meeting laws:
We have adopted Zoom as our teleconferencing tool to broadcast our meetings
We have reconfigured our Council chambers to provide for our new meeting format
We have invested in equipment to allow this activity
We have trained the City staff and the Council in the use of this tool
We have provided instructions to you on how to use the tool (last email)
We are ready to try this for the first time Monday night.

We will still be taking meeting minutes that will be posted.
We will still be making a digital recording of the audio that will be posted
We will still be live streaming the audio on AM 1610
We will be recording the Zoom meeting and posting the audio – video too once we figure out the storage space requirements.
As we become more confident in our ability to conduct meetings on this platform we will evaluate the other streaming services to broaden citizen access to our meetings.
